Welcome
to “Chleebodi” (pronounced CLAY-bo-dee)
Chleebodi is how the locals refer to
our hotel. Before the Lötscgberg
train line was built in 1906, there was a small clover field (Kleeboden)
where the hotel stands today.
In 1908, the “Gasthaus Bahnhof” was
built by Hans-Christian Theler and then construction began on
a brand new Hotel Bahnhof by Grandfather
Leo Leiggener. In 1977 his son Herbert Leiggener and wife Edith
took over the hotel. 26 years later, the family tradition was
maintained when Herberts daughter Alexandra and her husband Scott
Donaldson
had
the hotel passed on to them. Now on our third year with the hotel,
we have gone through fairly major improvements while still maintaining
the familiar atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you. |
